Who can contact the Anti-Discrimination Office?
The Anti-Discrimination Office is the point of contact for anyone who feels discriminated against or wants to take action against a case of discrimination.
Have you experienced or observed discrimination? Contact us confidentially, free of charge and anonymously if you wish.
We speak German and English. Let us know if you also require language mediation.
Please note: The municipal anti-discrimination office can only become active if residents of Jena are affected or if the discrimination has occurred in Jena.
What does the anti-discrimination office do?
You can contact us about any form of discrimination.
Our staff are bound by legal confidentiality and act independently and only with your consent.
- We listen and offer you a safe space to talk about what you have experienced.
- We document, anonymously if you wish. Proactive action can only be taken if the forms and extent of discrimination are known.
- If you wish, we can obtain statements and accompany discussions to resolve conflicts.
- Together with you, we look for possible solutions, local support services and, if necessary, refer you to specialized agencies.
- We report publicly and anonymously on cases of discrimination in Jena and raise awareness of the right to equal treatment.
